PRODUCT NEWS MONO Pedalboards MONO has released its first range of ergonomic, adaptable pedalboards. The five pedalboards in the range are all cut from a single piece of 3 mm anodized aluminum to be lightweight and durable. The cut-outs on top of the board are designed to accommodate any custom cable routing configuration and every pedalboard is shipped with 3M Dual Lock fasteners. The pedalboards are flat or set at a 10-degree incline for ergonomic stomping and easy reach. There are rubber feet for stability and shock absorption. MONO’s pedalboard range includes five sizes, from the Lite, measuring 14 x 5.25 x 1.25 in., up to the Large, measuring 32 x 16 x 3.5 in. Arturia DrumBrute Analog Drum Machine & Sequencer Arturia has released the DrumBrute, a 100 per cent analog drum machine and sequencer. The DrumBrute contains 17 fully analog drum and percussion instruments, including two kicks, snare, clap, open and closed hats, high and low toms and congas, maracas, rimshot, clave, tambourine, zap, cymbal, and a reverse cymbal. The main output contains a two-mode Steiner-Parker filter, allowing users to add frequency sweeps and bass drops. Every drum sound has multiple parameters that can be tweaked to achieve the user’s ideal kit. Each of the DrumBrute’s 64 sequences can contain up to 64 steps and be chained together in a song mode. Every feature has its own dedicated button, knob, or pad so that users spend less time navigating sub-menus. Grover EQlipse Dual Apex Snare Drums Grover Pro Percussion has released the EQlipse Dual Apex snare drums, which include the 5 x 14-in. G1-EQ-5E and 6 x 14-in. G1-EQ-6E. The EQlipse Dual Apex snares provide two distinct bearing edges: a double 45-degree edge for a bright, contemporary sound and a rounded edge for a traditional, dark vintage tone. The aluminum Tone Belt acts as a structural brace, removing tension from the wood shell. Inside the Tone Belt is a ceramic-coated maple ring, which amplifies transient high-end frequencies. These features give the EQlipse its multi-shell character. In addition, the snares sport both silver and bronze non-spiral snare wires. Increased contact with the snare head produces power and projection beyond that of ordinary snares. To change the bearing edge, the user just removes the batter head, flips over the Apex Ring, and puts the head back on.
