PRS 57/08 Pickups
PRS’s vintage-inspired 57/08 pickups are now available
as standalone items. Until now, the pickups could only be
acquired as part of a PRS guitar.
Inspired by 1957 humbuckers and introduced in 2008
on PRS guitars, these proprietary pickups were designed
by Paul Reed Smith and are made with vintage-style wire
and wound in-house in PRS’s electronics department. They
were designed to capture the iconic tones of 1950s era
guitars and feature a warm, even, and responsive tone.
The 57/08 pickups were designed after PRS got exclu-
sive rights to the wire made by the same machine that
made all the wire in 1950s pickups.

Roland has released the Go:Piano, which is designed for
beginner piano players with limited budgets and space.
The Go:Piano is a portable solution meant to make
learning piano easy and fun. It features authentic sound
and feel derived from Roland’s premium home pianos and
supports Bluetooth for working with music education apps
on mobile devices. The 61-note keyboard also features
built-in speakers and metronome, transpose, and recording
features for convenient practicing.
The lightweight and travel-ready Go:Piano runs on
batteries, and plugging in headphones automatically
mutes the speakers.

Ahead Switch Kick Cowbell &
Tambourine Beater
Ahead has released the Switch Kick two-way cowbell and
tambourine kick beater.
The high-density black Delrin beater has reversible sides
with distinctive sound qualities and volume differences.
With the hard rubber side for cowbell, the player is able to
get a louder sound with less effort. With the soft silicone
rubber side, they get a softer touch for the tambourine.
There are nine different heights to quickly change the
speed and volume and the Switch Kick is available with and
without a stainless steel adapter shaft.
