Retail Investor's Perspective

I think it's not a question of if dried cannabis will become commoditized in a Canadian recreational market, but when? It's because of this, that we feel the better investment opportunities are and will continue to be in other parts of the value chain. Many people in the industry consider these to be investments in the "picks and shovels," in reference to the constant comparisons to this as the "green gold rush".

Green Acre will be investing primarily in existing and start-up companies in the medical, recreational, and ancillary sectors. They bring much needed value to the companies within their portfolio - expertise, strategic, capital, and insight. Brett Wilson, former panellist on Dragon’s Den, is on the Advisory Board. Mr. Wilson is no stranger to the legal cannabis industry and is invested in Tantalus Labs and is also on the advisory board of AbCann Global Corporation (TSXV:ABCN). A recent article appearing in the Business Insider noted that Tantalus Labs was referred to as the “Tesla of Cannabis”. Tantalus Labs released a white paper recently that investors should consider reading as it explores in detail the “unprecedented economic opportunity” of this industry. There can be little doubt that funds such as the Green Acre Capital Fund will fuel a significant portion of that unprecedented economic opportunity and their focus statement could not state it better:

A diversified portfolio of the most compelling cannabis investments - Green Acre Capital is a private investment fund dedicated exclusively to the Canadian medical and recreational cannabis industry. The fund invests in sectors across the cannabis value chain including production, research, consumer products and retail. This cross-vertical approach creates an eco-system amongst portfolio investments that helps fuel growth an innovation.
