Seward Windsong Lodge
Nestled in the tranquil seclusion of a glacier river valley, only minutes from the thriving
bustle of Seward and the untamed nature of Kenai Fjords National Park, this secluded
retreat is surrounded by glacier-carved mountains and spruce forests. Guestrooms are
a short walk from the main lodge under a forest canopy along winding pathways. Each
spacious guestroom is defined by rustic Alaskan styling and a host of services and
amenities. In the evening, meet on the deck to share stories and adventures over fresh
Alaskan cuisine at the Resurrection Roadhouse, an award-winning favourite among
locals and visitors. Enjoy activities such as a guided Exit Glacier hike, Ididaride Sled
Dog Tour, the Alaska SeaLife Center, sea kayaking and day cruises of Kenai Fjords
National Park.
Established in 1980, the national park encompasses approximately 605,000 acres
of the rugged, rocky and often steep coastline of the Kenai Peninsula. The park also
boasts an abundance of marine and terrestrial wildlife. Humpback whales, orcas, Dall’s
porpoise, Steller sea lions, sea otters and seals populate park waters in addition to
mountain goats, black bears and more than 80 different species of birds. With a variety
of packages, guests can make the most out of their experience in this stunning region.
A courtesy shuttle is provided to tours, the railroad depot and downtown Seward.

Unique Lodge
Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge
Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is located 12 nautical miles from Seward on Fox
Island in the protected waters of Resurrection Bay. Operating in the summer months
of June, July and August, the lodge is easily accessible by a short boat ride through
calm waters. Completed in 2013, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge features a new main
lodge, complete with an expanded kitchen and formal culinary program featuring the
wild Alaska salmon belly (an underutilized piece of the salmon) and locally harvested
beach greens. The new 3,300-square-foot building is re-positioned on the apex of the
beach, with two-storey windows overlooking Resurrection Bay.
The lodge’s eight waterfront cabins were renovated in 2012 with custom beds
and high-quality furniture and fixtures. Guests can have their morning coffee or
tea delivered directly to their rooms, and be greeted after a day of kayaking with
their favourite beverage at their cabin door. Gourmet breakfasts, lunches, evening
appetizers and dinners are prepared for guests in the lodge dining room by the
island’s private chef. Hiking and naturalist walks are available. Featured in National
Geographic Traveler Magazine’s “50 Trips of a Lifetime” edition, May 2015, in the “Best
of Kenai Fjords National Park” tour, Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is Alaska’s most
affordable wilderness lodge experience.
