as an apprentice
and has worked his
way from tradesman
to foreman. He is
one of our senior
supervisors who
looks after
large projects.

Scott Davidson from
D&D Decorators.
What is your role in Ayrshire
College’s new campus
development? We are contracted
to carry out the Ames taping and
painting and decorating works.
What are the biggest
opportunities of the project?
This is a large local contract which
involves a significant number of
trained staff directly employed
locally. This benefits our business
and the local community.
What other projects have you
worked on? We have worked
on similar projects in St Josephs
Academy and Grange Academy
in Kilmarnock.
Tell us about the relationship
you have developed with
Ayrshire College? We have a
long history of recruiting our
apprentices from the College.
We have trained four apprentices
each year over the last 22 years
abd we are really pleased with
the high standard of applicants.
