Children enrolled in Pre-K are not eligible to attend Camp Hilbert. In order to be successful at our pro- gram at Camp Hilbert, children in Rishonim must possess these skills: • ability to independently dress • must be toilet-trained • ability to follow multi-step directions in a group setting • ability to self-advocate and communicate his/her needs • must possess the stamina for the long active day at Camp Our Aleph program is designed to nurture creativity and build skills, while allowing campers to explore, have fun and be part of our camp community. Our Bet program is designed to give older campers a unique experience built toward the needs of pre-teen and teen participants. Campers will gain confidence by developing skills, gaining exposure to new experiences, and build- ing friendships. LEARN AND EXPLORE For first-time campers, Rishonim explores all that Camp Hilbert has to offer. It includes: • two late nights (programming until 7PM) • weekly activities • Nofesh (rest period) each day after lunch* Cost: $315M/$385NM (per week) *This allows for a break in the day where campers can rest, listen to stories, or play games—all in the air conditioning. If you are interested in sending your rising kindergartner to Camp Hilbert this summer, there will be a parent information session on January 29 at 7PM at the Weinstein JCC. PLAY AWARENESS OF SELF Noar (Youth) Based on weeks enrolled, campers entering grades 1-2 will have the opportunity to participate in: • two late nights • weekly activities • camper’s choice activities Ruach (Spirit) Based on weeks enrolled, campers entering grades 3-4 will participate in: • two one-night overnights • weekly activities with the addition of archery • camper’s choice activities Cost: $325M/$395NM (per week) Adventure Happens Habonim (Builders) Based on weeks enrolled, campers in grades 5-6 will participate in: • all weekly and camper's choice activities • one out-of-town trip, followed by an overnight • one-night Maccabiah (Color War) overnight • field trips Cost: $355M/$425NM (per week) Gesher (Bridge) Based on weeks enrolled, campers in grades 7-8 will participate in: • two-night, three-day out-of-town overnight • one-night overnight at camp • one-night Maccabiah (Color War) overnight • field trips • experiential learning through higher level specialized activities • service learning and contri- bution in service projects • leadership training and teambuilding Cost: $370M/$445NM (per week) Hilbert Post-Camp Campers entering grades K-8 Week 9: August 12 - 16 Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Because 8 weeks just isn’t enough, campers join us for an extra week to celebrate the end of the summer at Camp Hilbert. Athletics, arts and crafts, camping, team-building and more will be on the menu. Post-camp has different programming than Camp Hilbert and will have more free-play time as well. Post-camp campers also get to experience some surprise special activities throughout the week. Note: The only transportation during post-camp is between the Weinstein JCC and Camp Hilbert.
