ts r o Sp Jr. NFL Flag Football (K-5th) Week 11: August 27-31 Flag football offers non-contact, continuous action while using minimal equipment. In this camp, kids will play flag football and build the basic skills of passing, receiving, defending, and running the ball. Full Day: $330M/$380NM Half Day: $260M/$310NM Richmond Kickers Academy (K-2nd, 3rd-6th) Week 5: July 16-20 Week 10: August 20-24 Players, U-8 through U-14, will receive instruction from nationally licensed and professional coaches. Activities include technical ball work,1 v 1 activities, 4 v 4 tournaments, shoot-outs and fun competitions. Full Day: $330M/$380NM Half Day: $260M/$310NM Tennis at The Dominion Club (2nd-8th) NEW CAMP! Week 4: July 9-13 Week 8: August 6-10 This camp emphasizes fundamentals such as skill development, forehand, backhand, serving, return of serves, and scoring. Participants will play singles, doubles, and a variety of fun games. Camp will be held at The Dominion Club and led by one of their USTA tennis professionals. The camp includes a daily free swim period at the outdoor pool. Transportation from the Weinstein JCC to The Dominion Club and back is provided. Full Day: $380M/$430NM Youth Triathalon (1st-4th, 5th-8th) Week 2: June 25 -29 Week 6: July 23-27 Instructor: Endorphin Fitness Coaches Location: Weinstein JCC and Camp Hilbert Campers will spend the week preparing for a triathlon. Each day they will swim, bike, run, and train under expert instruction by coaches who will teach proper form and technique, benefiting them beyond the sport of triathlon. On the last day, everyone will complete in a youth triathlon race at Camp Hilbert. This camp is taught by USA Triathlon's Youth Coach of the Year. Notes: Campers are encouraged to bring their own bike; otherwise, a bike rental fee may apply. We are offering a 6-9 age group and a 10-13 age group. Each group requires a mini- mum of 10 participants and will have a maximum of 20 . Full Day: $390M/$440NM VA Outdoor Adventures (2nd-8th) Week 5: July 16-20 Week 7: July 30 - August 3 (4th-8th and full day only) Week 9: August 13-17 Join the staff of Virginia Outside for outdoor adventures in James River Park and nearby wild spaces. We will fish, tube, mountain bike, kayak, hike, and explore some amazing places. Having fun, learning for themselves, starting to see a progression of skill development and building a base that your child will carry for life are just some of the things they will acquire in our wonderful outdoor playground that is so close by—the James River Park System. So put on your outdoor clothes, tie your shoes tight and prepare for some adventure and excitement. Week 8: August 6-10 The Guf Bari (Healthy Body) Youth Fitness Program has run all year for our after-school children enrolled in Kids’ Place. This fitness and wellness program gets kids moving while learning about nutrition. We not only motivate kids to exercise but teach them healthy eating through cooking and food education. In this week-long camp kids will go on a grocery store tour to plan our healthy meal for lunch at the end of week as well as take a field trip to Peak Experiences to go rock climbing. Full Day: $330M/$380NM Half Day: $260M/$310NM ing k o Co Kids’ Favorite Foods with Chef Yossi (1st-5th) Week 1: June 18-22 Instructor: Yossi Goel How could so many of your favorite foods be compiled into one week of cooking? Pizza, chicken tenders, hamburgers, french fries, and so much more! Come have fun preparing, cooking, and eating while getting an opportunity to learn kitchen fundamentals. This is a delicious camp! Full Day: $340M/$390NM Half Day: $270M/$320NM Cooking with Dairy NEW CAMP! at KBI (4th-8th) Week 3: July 2-6 (No camp July 4) Instructor: Yossi Goel This new and exciting camp will give campers the opportunity to prepare meals with dairy they normally wouldn’t at the JCC in the meat kitchen. Campers will travel to KBI (Kenneth Beth Israel) daily where they will prepare delicious dairy meals ranging from pasta to sweets. Fundamental skills and techniques will provided by the wonderful Chef Yossi. The week will culminate into a wonderful luncheon prepared by campers for families and friends. Full Day: $340M/$390NM Half Day: $270M/$320NM From Garden to Spoon (3rd-6th) Week 10: August 20-24 NEW CAMP! Instructor: Little Scholars Let’s get our hands dirty as we learn about gardening and food! Garden with us by making take-home garden boxes with a variety of herbs and other items for your garden. Create some daily delicious treats with healthy foods! Toss in our special ingredient of nature-based crafts and you have from garden to spoon camp! Full Day: $330M/$380NM 17 Half Day: $260M/$310NM
