We represent that Kingdom with a simple, yet profound message:
Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
God has placed each of us in an appointed space to share this message. Each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the
Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them (1 Corinthians 7:17). We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do
good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians
2:10). Your neighborhood, workplace, family and friend group are
your mission field. God has placed you, strategically, as His ambassador with His message.
As we step into our culture as ambassadors it is important to realize
that the culture IS foreign to us. Just as a missionary does not go
into a foreign culture and criticize the way of life but seeks to build
bridges to those in that culture, our role is to reach out in love to the
people of this earth. Though they walk in darkness, God has created
in them a vacuum that only He can fill. And we have the promise that
the true light that gives light to everyone has come into the world. All
who receive him are given the right to become children of God (John
1:9,12). What a calling!
As we enter a second year of Grace Beyond I challenge you to consider your calling as an ambassador of the King. Here’s a few things
you can do:
Remember who you represent as you step into the places God has
assigned you. Seek to understand and honor the culture while representing another King’s values.
Begin praying for those around you…family members, neighbors,
and co-workers. Ask God to work in their hearts, preparing the way
for conversations and even Bible study with them. Prayer walk your
neighborhood and look expectantly for opportunities to minister to
those God has placed in your path.
Check out the resources on NBS2go.com. You will be surprised
at how simple these studies are. Truly, anyone can facilitate them!
I love that people can come into the study of the Bible simply believing the Bible is worth studying. We trust God to be true to His
promise that His Word is living and active and sharper than a double
edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
Women, join us for Blessed2Bless, prayer gatherings where we
gather for teaching, sharing and testimonies and then tackle struggles on the journey through prayer. We intercede for the whole
Church to represent the King well and be aware of His assignments.
