what i’m learning
about discipleship
Over the course of this past year I have
been able to see God at work in many
specific ways through the college campus discipleship internship. I and five
other young adults have met together
and received hands on training and
teaching every single week on what it
looks like and means to be disciples of
Jesus. During this weekly meeting we
each share how we have seen Christ at
work over the past week in our lives, our
campus/workplace and in the lives of our
fellow interns. We then go out and lead
our own discipleship groups on various
campuses around Grand Rapids.
We have seen Christ show up in dark
places on college campuses that want to
shut him out. By acting boldly through the
prompting of the Spirit and in His power,
God has turned the tables and shown
His light. Students are now curious and
have begun to ask questions about the
Gospel. I have been personally stretched
in my faith by step
