Opportunities Abound
with Grace Beyond
By Judi Warner, Special Needs Ministry Director
“Grace Beyond” has become a familiar phrase around Calvary lately. For some the image of
a renovated building comes to mind, for others a beautiful prayer garden, for some spiritual
growth is front and center. For all of us change is on the horizon. The Special Needs Ministry
is excited about the opportunities that are ahead due to Grace Beyond.
One of those changes for the adult group, called “Go Getters,” is that they will begin meeting
Tuesday evenings in the Fellowship Hall, on September 15. Although this is a big change, it
is also a wonderful opportunity for us to do ministry in a new way and we are so excited to
begin. Go Getters will meet from 6:30–8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall on Tuesday evening
which will include: large group worship and social time, small group learning beginning with
a Bible story and discussion and prayer time, and small group learning in three different
classes.
• Faithful Living: designed to encourage faithful living through social, emotional,
spiritual, relational and physical health
• Mission Minded: designed to learn more about Calvary church’s missionaries and
how we can encourage each other to share the gospel with others
• Artful Expression: designed to express on paper, using a variety of mediums while
exploring creation
Individuals who attend will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the three
semesters of learning.
Beginning August 2, the Go Getters will worship together with all of Calvary in the Sanctuary
during the last service of the morning. There will be a section designated for the group to
sit together, if desired, however individuals will be encouraged to sit where ever they choose.

One more change that is already underway is that children in our ministry are
all meeting together with Calvary Kids on Sunday mornings in the “Crows Nest”
(room 144). It’s going great!
God is faithful, and we are excited to watch and see all He has planned in the coming years
through Grace Beyond.
