Annual All Church
Serving Day
This will be the third year that Calvary has been
an official sponsor of the annual Mayors’ Grand
River Clean-Up, that is put together by WMEAC
(West Michigan Environmental Action Council).
This year’s event will be Saturday, September 19,
downtown at Sixth Street Park.
Each year, our Calvary volunteers gather with
hundreds of others from our local community
and spend a morning serving together cleaning
up trash from along the Grand River waterway.
Last year, over 1,000 volunteers cleaned up more
than 14,000 pounds of trash in only one morning
of work! When the work is finished, lunch is included, and if you sign up through Calvary, your
t-shirt is free too.
Gather your small group, your family (5th grade
and older) or friends and join us this year. It is
a great way to stand with our neighbors and
show that we truly care about our community.
Watch for more information in the bulletin, the
eNews, the September Calvary Life, and on the
web. Sign up to be part of the Calvary team
outside Entrance N August 23, 30 and
September 6. Note: Sign-ups will be unavailable
on Sundays with inclement weather.
