By using this method, we learn to actively study God’s Word.
Participants learn to be self-feeders, dependent on the Holy
Spirt and personally discovering and applying God’s transforming truths. When a group comes together it can be an
exciting time of sharing. I love how Debbie McGoldrick explains it, “Imagine your group has vacationed at the Grand
Canyon. After the trip they gather to tell their stories. Some
viewed the canyon from the observation decks, others from
the back of a donkey traversing the canyon, others from a raft
trip on the Colorado River, and still others from a helicopter
‘flyover.’ Each brings a unique perspective and as they share
their experience a 3-D panoramic picture of the Grand Canon
emerges.”
This year our adult ministries will be using the inductive “discovery” method much more than before. We encourage you
to try it yourself or join a group like Monday Night Bible Study
to learn how to become a treasure seeker.
Let’s resolve to open our Bibles and seek our Lord in the midst
of His Word. We can trust Him to be true to His promise that
His Word gives light and understanding to the simple. And
when we don’t understand something, there are plenty of resources and people to ask!

Monday Night Bible Study begins September 12 at 7:00pm
in the Chapel. We will use this method to discover what it
means to follow Jesus and live intentionally, viewing eternity.

Monday night Bible Study 2016-2017
Begins∙sept.12∙7:00-8:30pm
Calvary Church chapel
How do we live out an urgency to know God
more fully and love others deeply? How do
we live intentionally with the people God
has placed in our lives today? If you feel
a longing to follow Jesus more closely,
consider joining Monday Night Bible Study
this year.
Together, we will study God’s Word
individually and in community. You will be
equipped to then share your discoveries as
you establish intentional gospel-centered
relationships with those in your context who
don’t know Jesus as their hope and Savior.
Monday Night Bible Study combines small
group discussion with a 30-minute teaching
time. The best of both! You do not need to
pre-register just show up on September 12.
