Deacon Nominees Calvary’s Deacons are given the fiscal responsibility for the church, overseeing budgeting and expenditures and also seeking ways to care for members of the congregation in need. They are responsible for the administration of all business matters of the church and function as trustees in legal transactions. The selection of elders and deacons will take place by casting of lots at the Annual Meeting on September 16. Don and his wife, Stacy, have been married for 25 years and have been blessed with five children: Eliza- beth (22), Courtney (21), Christina (21), Benjamin (18) and Jacob (15). Their family has attended Calvary for 16 years. Don currently serves on Calvary’s CityFest committee as a point of contact to the Luis Palau DON ARMBRESTER Organization and he and Stacy serve in the Calvary Café on Sunday mornings. Don also served on the committee that advised and supported the Sunday eve- ning service and the initial stages of the East Grand Rapids church plant. Don feels it would be an honor to serve as a Deacon if God calls him to that role. In the past he has served on the Grace Beyond Logistics Committee, as an usher, in the Connection Point, and as a Small Group Leader in Middle School Ministry. NATE BENHAM 6 Nate and his wife Jen have been married 16 years and have 3 children, Emalynn (13), Maxwell (11), and Jackson (8). They have attended Calvary for 15 years and have been members for ten years. Nate is actively involved as an usher with both of his sons, has participated in LDF, served on the parking lot team and has previously served as a Deacon. Nigel (a Brit) and his wife, Angela (German), have been married for 35 years and are blessed with two fine daughters, Jemima and Eve, and two fine sons, Benjamin and Stephen. They have attended Calvary Church for 16 years and been members for fifteen years. Nigel’s involvement at Calvary has included leading the NIGEL CROMPTON Logos Sunday School class for 15 years and assisting Jim Stortz in leading a men’s discipleship group. As time has allowed he has greatly enjoyed being a tenor in Calvary Choir and is deeply involved in teaching a biblical understanding of Science and Faith. Angela has helped keep Calvary ladies fit on Monday mornings at the Women’s Exercise class for over 13 years. Chuck and his wife Brenda have attended Calvary for 21 years. They have been married 35 years and have two married adult children and three grandchildren. Chuck has served in the budget counseling and financial ministry, with the Go Getters, and in
