calvary Calvary Equip is a series of classes providing opportunities for learning faith-enriching practices. You’ll be equipped to live out what you are taught and engage more fully with what God is doing in and through His church in this place. The following classes are being offered during the spring semester. Sundays - First & Third (Begins January 7) Calvary Equip: Prayer 10:45am | Room 211 This course will focus on the wholeness and importance of prayer to a believer. We will look for explanation of what it means to pray according to God’s will, to wrestle with God in prayer and more. Sundays - Second & Fourth (Begins January 14) Calvary Equip: The Path of the Disciple 9:00am | Room 211 What is the meaning of discipleship? What does it look like to practically follow Jesus? This course will consider these questions and others and will focus foundational aspects of the Christian faith. We will cover spiritual disciplines, a Bible overview and Christian living. Communicate Your Gospel Story 10:45am | Room 211 Many Christians have a difficult time putting the gospel into words. They may have heard it, and experienced the transforming power of it in their lives, but when asked to explain it, they struggle. This course will concentrate on what the gospel is and how to share it with others. Participants will write and share their faith story and see how the gospel is interwoven with it. Saturday Calvary Equip: What We Believe (membership class & more) One-Day Saturday Class, February 10, 9:00am-2:30pm (Lunch is included) Have you been wanting to become a member of Calvary Church? Already a member, but would like to review what we believe? This class is open to anyone wanting to explore what Calvary Church believes. It is a pre-requisite for membership, but we encourage anyone who wants to become more familiar with what we believe to take the class. The class is open to anyone 12 years of age or older.
