DC4K ( DivorceCare for Kids ) Tuesdays , January 2-April 4 6:30-8:30pm
DC4K is a special ministry to help children ( age 5-12 years ) heal from the hurts caused by the separation or divorce of their parents . The weekly sessions are filled with engaging activities centered around a weekly theme . These topics correlate with those discussed in the adult Divorce- Care sessions . A typical evening will be filled with games , crafts , discussions , and journaling in workbooks , music , stories , Bible memorization and video dramas . Best of all , children will learn how God ’ s love can strengthen them and help turn tears to hope and joy ! Childcare will be provided for children birth through preschool . Marriage Mentoring Ministry Engaged or young couples attending Calvary are highly encouraged to experience marriage mentoring with experienced older couples who have been trained to provide marriage mentoring . Mentoring requires a one year commitment . Mentee couples take the Prepare / Enrich Relationship Inventory and then meet ten times over the course of a year with their mentor couple . In these meetings couples together go through their inventory report with a focus on their relationship strengths and growth areas , strengthening relationship skills and learning new skills , and learning from the marriage experience of the mentor couple as they share about their own marriage .
