Additional Family Ministries DC4K SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30pm, Entrance K Some children struggle deeply with anger, pain and confusion when their parents go through separation and divorce, while others seem to handle it okay. In reality, all children are affected, and finding help for them can be frustrating. DivorceCare for Kids — DC4K — will help minimize and eliminate the short- and long-term negative effects divorce may have on your children’s schoolwork, emotional health and spiritual life. DC4K provides a safe, fun place where they can learn to understand their feelings, express their emotions appropriately, develop coping skills and an improved self-image, and be introduced to biblical concepts that will bring comfort. The Special Needs Ministry of Calvary Church seeks to reach out to families and individuals with special needs. It is our goal to create a community of believers for all who attend Calvary. We seek to understand the needs of families and individuals impacted by Special Needs and work together to strengthen the entire body of Christ. For some, this is accomplished in a contained classroom setting, for others it is accomplished through connecting and integrating into the larger body with purposeful inclusion.* For all of us, though, it is about growth and maturity in our journey together as members of one body. Should you have any questions, please contact the special needs offices at 9569377, ext. 5272. DC4K is a 13-week course, and is designed to run alongside DivorceCare for adults.
