God Provided
Our God has been incredibly gracious to us in student ministries.
We have seen God as our provider
as a major theme in many ways.
God has provided us with opportunities to help students draw
closer to Him and others through
community.
God’s truth, and challenge each
other to live for Christ. Seventh
and eighth grade students spent
a weekend in Chicago learning
the Gospel and sharing their faith
with others. Fifth and sixth grade
students spent time building
relationships during incredible
and zany activities. We sought to
serve God with our hands, feet
and words through two mission
trips. All along the way, we have
seen God provide for us and have
sought to glorify Him.
What an amazing God we serve!
In middle school, we’ve studied
people in the Bible and have discovered something amazing about
God in a series called Eureka! We
were challenged to surrender
everything to Jesus during our
5/6 and 7/8 fall retreats. Fifth and
sixth grade students invited their
friends to an amazing outreach
event. Seventh and eighth invited
unchurched friends to an awesome winter camp experience so
they might hear and experience
the Gospel message together.
We met in small groups to care
for one another, dig deeper in to
This year in high school we had
an awesome fall retreat where
we saw seven individuals receive
Christ as their savior. In UNITED
we spent the whole year going
through the Sermon on the Mount,
God blessed this teaching and
many lives were changed by the
transformational power of the
Word of God. Also our students
have started their own student-led evangelism team called
“Reach.” They are studying God’s
Word together, teaching each
other, and taking the Good News
of Jesus Christ into the streets of
Grand Rapids.
“And my God will meet all your
needs according to the riches of
his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
