God guides my path (feet)
Isaiah 30:20-21 reads, “Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and
the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own
eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears
will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
This past year we have seen God’s guidance and grace in the young adult ministry in a variety of amazing ways. As a community, we experienced heartache
as several of our members endured the passing of a parent. In many ways,
God’s grace was poured out through the community of young adults coming
alongside these individuals and sharing the burden of grief. While deep wounds
like this do not heal quickly, God has been faithful in continuing to lead and
guide these individuals and our community. God has led one of these individuals
into an engagement, and another to their first overseas short-term mission trip.
God has been faithfully guiding young adults in so many wonderful ways this
year. Many have gone through the move of entering into a new community as
they transition through stages of life. Others have answered the call to step out
in faith and go share the gospel in South America – for several of them this was
their first time out of the country and for two of them it was their first time on
a plane! I think of God’s amazing work in one of these girls’ lives. Only last fall
