God has been working in the Prison Ministry with several new volunteers participating in the pris-
on’s worship services on Sundays. Also, on Wednesday evenings there is a men’s Bible study (Un-
shackled) and a women’s Bible study here at Calvary with many participating, eager to learn more
about God. They come to the Wednesday Night Dinner before heading to their study and Calvary
members have cared for newcomers, embracing them and sharing the love of Christ.
International Ministries has seen amazing growth this past year, especially on Sunday mornings.
Calvary is now interpreting the Sunday sermon into three languages (Korean, Arabic, and Farsi) and
is looking to add Chinese within a month. God is bringing the nations to Calvary Church and it is
so exciting to have people willing and able to do interpretation work for those whose comprehen-
sion of English is limited.
Sister to Sister had another wonderful year with Calvary women and Korean women partnering to-
gether, studying God’s word, sharing each other’s cultures and spending time getting to know each
other. Many Koreans had never carved a pumpkin before and had great fun with that activity. The
group also learned to cook each other’s food – Korean women making American food and Calvary
women making Gim Bap. In June, many Korean families had a wonderful time away on retreat and
Bruce Huseby spent part of a day with them sharing “Fan into flame the gift of God” through 1 Tim-
othy to remind them of the privilege to minister to people.
