At the end of the 2016-17 year Calvary was supporting 4 missionaries of retirement age, and 52 active missionary units representing 29 countries, and 31 agencies, involved in the following areas of minist ry: Sales 13% Children and Students (7 units) 12% Administrative/ Support (6 units) 48% Evangelism, Discipleship, & Church Planting (25 units) 27% Leadership Development In order to invest in new opportunities God is giving us, we have decreased our monthly support for some workers slightly. Each of those chosen has been receiving overall donations greater than their actual, agency-specified need. We have communicated to them that the reduction in no way reduces our com- mitment to partnership in their work through prayer and encouragement. new supported workers Tanner & Kelsey, India On March 26, 2017, we commissioned Tanner and Kelsey for missionary service to India. After only a few years at Calvary, their passion for unreached peoples and for the nation of India was evident. While here, they were involved with Business for Transformation, Neighbors International, and women’s health care. In four short months on the field, they have been involved in language and cultural acquisition, and have already had an impact on those around them. (14 units) Daniel Godwin, Camp Beechpoint Jon & Kris Shepherd’s support for the 2017-18 year will be increased from $600 to $700 per month. Even though Daniel grew up and attended college in Alabama, quite by accident he discovered Camp Beechpoint right here in Allegan, Michigan, and that changed the direction of his future. While in architecture school, he served at Camp Beechpoint during summers and now, ten years later, is in full-time ministry at the camp. Daniel has also served right here at Calvary in youth ministry, and connected with Pastor Bruce to go through our Cross Training program for missionary service. Daniel’s love for kids and for Jesus is clear, and God is using those passions for His glory at Camp Beechpoint. Shaun Weldon, Unified Underground Shaun grew up in a Christian home, and accepted the Lord as a young person, but turned his back on Christianity in his later teen years. Through 21
