Festival of Light title:
A Time for Christmas
Our worship at Calvary this past year revolved around a theme of having
an Undivided Heart for God based on our teaching from 1 and 2 Samuel. Our
benediction came from Psalm 86:11-12 which states, “Teach me your way, O
LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear
your name. I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your
name forever.” With assistance from Jerroll Lehman, we wrote an original song
called An Undivided Heart. This was used to remind us that, like King David, we
need to be people who possess a heart of full commitment to God.
Number of those who

Number of Festival of Lights
cast members, orchestra,

LibertyFest attendance:
2,000+
Some highlights from this year included a Festival of Lights production (A
Time for Christmas) with over 13,000 attendees, and a Palm Sunday Musical
entitled “Grace.” During Holy Week, many in our Calvary family experienced
our interactive Prayer Garden in the Chapel, our Seder Meal, Maundy Thursday
Communion service, and Good Friday service. Our Easter services were
celebratory and included the testimonies of many who followed the Lord in
baptism. The Worship Department also facilitated a Finale Concert in May and a
summer community activity called LibertyFest. The Finale Concert drew us into
worship while LibertyFest drew us into community.
We thank God for the many staff and volunteers who give their time and
talent each week to facilitate our worship at Calvary Church.
‘Cause my heart
strays easily sometimes
Confuses me and I so quickly fall away.
But your voice it calls to me
Your love It beckons me
and near Your heart I want to stay.
