Joy was also raised on the field, and both had a deep desire to serve Christ cross-culturally. They met in high school, but college took them in separate directions with Jeremy going to engineering school, and Joy getting her degree in secondary education. After college, God brought them together again, and they realized their parallel desires to serve unreached people groups. They married and God has led them to minister to a nomadic group of Muslim people with whom they will live. After raising their needed support, camel-riding lessons, and obtaining their visas, Joy & Jeremy are currently in language school. Pray for them as they prepare for and are anxious to begin their work. Josh & Julie, Northern Africa (no picture for security reasons) Josh was raised in a Christian home, and accepted Christ at a young age. In college, he had the opportunity to be part of missions trips both in the U.S. and abroad. After college, Josh went to Africa for the first time, and was deeply impacted by their lack of the truth of the Gospel. It was then that he felt God’s leading to someday go back to share with them the good news of Christ. Julie was raised on the field, and also came to know Jesus as her personal savior at a very young age. Being exposed to missions her entire life, she desired to serve on the mission field. God confirmed this plan for her to serve using physical therapy. Josh and Julie will be serving in one of the least reached regions of the world where 99% of the population adheres to the Islamic faith. They will be joining a team already in place who are strategically involved in church planting. After completing one year of language school, their efforts will focus on discipling local believers, encouraging the local “church,” and training church leaders.
