What a blessed year of seeing so many new people get
involved in serving at Calvary, as well as the continued faithfulness
of hundreds in our congregation who have served many years.
Currently, we have 1,900 people involved in serving in one or more
ministries.
This year’s highlights began in September with our Super
HEROES event in the Café. Many people met staff and learned
about serving and the various ministries at Calvary, leading them
to connect with ministry teams where they believed God led them.
50+ people began serving in a new ministry as a result of HEROES
2012. Be watching for information on our 2013 Super HEROES
event. There will be lots of fun and prizes!!
Our biggest challenge is finding people to serve in our
Children’s Ministry. So many Sundays the number 5000 flashes
on the sign in the Sanctuary signifying that we don’t have enough
workers in our nursery. Children’s Ministry also has ongoing needs
for teachers and helpers.
Discovery is an ongoing ministry that helps our congregants
learn their spiritual gifts and how God wants them to use their gifts.
Several people go through Discovery each year.
