WOMEN LEADERS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT:
BE BOLD, BE BRAVE, BE YOU
Over nine hundred women and men, of all rank and
level, gathered in Palm Springs on October 21-23, 2018 for
the Women Leaders in Law Enforcement Training Sympo-
sium (WLLE). Within two months of opening registration,
this premier event sold out! This year’s symposium theme
Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You; was reemphasized by speakers
such as Chief Deanna Cantrell (San Luis Obispo), Retired

Navy Admiral and former White House Physician, Dr.
Connie Mariano; Documentary Filmmaker, Brett Culp;
Officer Ann Carrizales (Stafford, TX) and Retired Officer
Jason Schecterle (Phoenix, AZ). The high-level training this
year featured presentations on leadership, critical incident
survival, and promotional opportunities for law enforce-
ment, as well as many other current topics.
