North to South - East to West , our six regional officer teams across the state are preparing to lead an incredible 2016-17 school year . What does your region ’ s team have planned for you ?

South Coast

“ We ’ ve got the beach , we ’ ve got the sun , the South Coast Region is number one !” The South Coast Region has been hard at work since summer began . The regional team had a blast at the Regional Officer Leadership Conference where they learned new skills of leadership , bonded together and developed a new understanding of how to LAUNCH themselves into a selfless year of service . The fun continued at SOLC in September where our sectional leaders learned about the various agricultural pathways they can take in a world of opportunity when it comes time to take off the blue jacket . At COLC in October we challenged every single chapter leader to “ Find Their Missing Piece .” To commit themselves to extending the advocacy of agriculture in every one of their hometown chapters with passion and leadership . We have had fun meeting members all across our region but we still have a challenge for all of you ! Tell us how you are going to “ FIND YOUR MISSING PIECE !” Share your blue jacket story on our Instagram @ southcoastregionffa using the hashtag # SCRSTORY !!

Southern

The Southern Region started off the year growing their brand . The Region Officer Leadership Conference ( ROLC ) was a great opportunity for the Southern Region Officer team . We were able to see the diversity throughout our state as well as highlight the diversity within our own region . We were also able to learn valuable skills such as putting on a workshop and connecting with our community members . The team truly became a family within our short time at ROLC . Not only working together to create a video on FFA stories , but also just spending quality time together . We had an amazing time at our Section Officer Leadership Conference ( SOLC ) where we met and grew with our Section Officer Teams . We look forward to working with chapter officers at Chapter Officer Leadership Conference ( COLC ). We are excited to serve the members this year and grow the FFA brand throughout our region .

Superior

In everything we do , there is always room for growth . The Superior Region officer team decided to focus on blooming what has yet to come with the theme “ Grow the Future .” The journey of cultivation began with a trip to Tomales Bay for ROLC . Throughout the conference , reflections brought us closer as not only a team , but helped us to become a family . The workshops helped us to develop the skills necessary to share our growth and help each of our chapters to grow as we hosted a Chapter Officer Leadership Conference from August 27- 31 . Through three groups of chapter officers , Superior Region watched each team flourish with workshops , including stage presence and officer specific duties , as well as a reflection based off of Dr . Seuss ’ s “ Oh the Places You ’ ll Go .” The state officer team joined us , and encouraged chapter officers to launch their newly acquired skills into action . Superior can ’ t wait to see our chapters and region as a whole work to “ Grow the Future .”
