Continued Righetti FFA New Members, Special Gifts Submitted by Bianca Calderon, Chapter Reporter As the school year kicked off so did the start of a new branch in the Righetti FFA Chapter. The collaboration for Righetti Special Olympics and FFA, the new branch is Righetti FFA Special Goats Program. This program is created to give kids with special needs the chance to venture out of their comfort zones and get the chance to be involved in the FFA program. Each kid is partnered up with two FFA members and for four months are given a market goat to care for and raise until the local county fair begins. The program is designed to show that these kids are no different than anyone else, nor do their needs set them back in any way. The students of this Special Goats Program have bonded the Righetti chapter more than any field day or conference ever could. These kids give this chapter and our county fair a unique touch to be proud of! Santa Paula FFA A New Home for Santa Paula FFA Submitted by Stephanie Fernandez, Chapter Reporter The Santa Paula agriculture program has successfully bought a new 29 acre school farm. We have housed our SAE in a 3-acre farm for over 30 years; the place was run down and old. We are excited for this huge opportunity!
