Superior
Region
Alumni in
Action...
Between COLC planning, leadership
conferences, and traveling across the
nation, the Superior Region has remained
active throughout the fall and winter months!
This year, the Superior Region held our
COLC at Mountain Meadows Camp, in
Shingletown, CA. This oasis hidden among
the trees may have been hard to find, but
it was well worth the long and winding
drive. The staff at Mountain Meadows
made our Chapter Officer Leadership
Conference a joy to organize and deliver.
Their tireless work allowed us to focus solely
on connecting with members, and doing
our part to make their experience at COLC
one to remember. And with everything from
workshops helping students discover their
personality type, to a homemade waterslide
that the state officer team braved, we’re
confident that it was an experience that
everyone in attendance will retain.
Shortly after COLC, a sizeable amount of
Superior Region FFA members traveled over
2,000 miles for the 2014 National FFA
Convention & Expo, held at the Kentucky
Exposition Center from October 29th, to
November 1st. Whether they attended as
a part of their chapter, or as a National
Delegate, each and every member truly
embodied last year’s theme of Go All Out.
Although our year of service is coming
to a close, the 2014-2015 Superior
Region officer team still has work to do!
Throughout the month of February, we
convened to plan our spring Regional
Meeting, scheduled for March 19th, and its
corresponding events. It will be an exciting
day for us all, and one that we are eagerly
looking forward to.

The Future Farmers of America did exactly that
for me. Still sassy and definitely loud, I’ve used
the skills learned in the FFA to shape me into
the woman I am today. Throughout my four
years in high school, I competed in creed,
public speaking and job interview contests
which allowed me to learn organization skills
and confidence when talking in front of large
crowds. Earning the position as San Joaquin
Regional President is by far one of my favorite
accomplishments. I loved learning how to lead

Today, in Nashville, Tennessee, my drive and
passion are still the same. I am in the country

songwriting, I get the opportunity to inspire

Church, Lee Brice and many other national
acts. Meetings with producers, songwriters and
publishing companies are a big part of a music
career which I am able to confidently attend
thanks to public speaking skills I received during
competitions like opening and closing. Just
