The
Advanced
Leadership
Academy was an amazing
opportunity to meet new people
and catch up with old friends.
During the conference not only
did everyone get to have a great
time at the dance, but we also
had the chance to learn of new
ways to help our communities
and the agriculture industry as well. As part of the
conference, my chapter and I came up with a plan
to grow vegetables and donate them to our local
rescue shelter. Using the vegetables we provided,
we challenged ourselves to fight the growing hunger
problem in our community. ALA was an excellent
opportunity for attendees to grow as leaders who can
rethink, redesign and rebuild our agriculture
communities and be a part of the solution. Now it is
time to live the vision we built! •
