IMPERIAL FFA
State Convention Memories
Submitted by Lauren Drewry
Imperial FFA attended the 90th California FFA State Convention in Anaheim with 14 students . The experience will forever help our members as they attended a number of unique and motivational leadership development workshops . All of the participating members returned from this exceptional convention with renewed vigor and skills learned from the sessions and workshops . One student said , “ It is an experience I will never forget . I met students from all different chapters and had a great time !” The attendees came home with stories of people they met that infl uenced them for the better . Workshops provided by state and national offi cers helped students from our chapter realize their potential and grow as leaders . The Imperial FFA students loved attending the convention and plan on returning next year .

This year , the West Fresno Madera sectional meeting was held at Firebaugh High School . There were two people slated for every offi ce available based on interviews held earlier . The delegates were given around 15 minutes to go and ask questions with those slated . The two slated for an offi ce answered two questions with a minute each . After their answers were given , delegates from all 13 chapters chose who they believed was best fi t for offi ce . In the end , a wonderful turnout of our new 2018-2019 West Fresno Madera sectional offi cers came to be . The meeting was a great experience to meet new people and get to know them .
