Michelle Jimenez from Soledad FFA
Have you ever been asked: “What do you
want to do when you grow up?” It’s a difficult
question to answer – a question I never really
liked. The world is full of many opportunities, so
how do you discover the career that is meant
for you? For me, without FFA, I am certain I
would not have discovered such a dynamic,
challenging and fun career in agriculture. My
story starts as a shy, timid freshman joining FFA
simply because I thought raising a pig would
be fun. I never dreamt selecting an Ag class
my 8th grade year would change my life. Not
only did FFA allow me to meet my best friends,
travel around North America and become a
leader, it helped shape me into the person I
am. For that, I am thankful!
I look back at my “blue and gold” days and
know that FFA helped me secure and advance
in the career I have now. W
