Photo Captions (opposite page clockwise from top): FFA members competed at the Fresno Field Day and are attending the State FFA Leadership Conference; We took a group of 100 members to The Flower Fields in San Marcos where they learned about pests, beneficial insects and black orchid and ranunculus production; FFA members are transplanting plugs to cell packs to get ready for our annual spring plant sale; (this page clockwise from upper left) We took 80 freshman total to two different Greenhand Conference. These are the freshman FFA members that we took to the one hosted at Heritage High School; This is the group of students that went to one of our local middle schools to recruit our next freshman class. They succeeded in recruiting 332 8th graders; Agriculture Chemistry students participating in a lab to discover what the mole is; These are our members that participated in the Advanced Leadership Academy and Made for Excellence conferences in January; This group of members just competed in the CDE field day and are receiving a tour of the Chico State Dairy and milking demonstration from one of our Alumni; Three of our members who stayed late into the night assisting with the farrowing of our sow. • California FFANEWS • Early Summer 2015 7
