San Luis Obispo FFA
#AgItForward

The San Luis Obispo FFA Chapter has been working tirelessly to institute a now nationwide project known as #AgItForward. This project began as a Supervised Agricultural
Experience Project from an idea sprouted by our chapter advisor, Mrs. Anna Bates.
In October of last year, we set out a mission statement for #AgItForward: Connecting
students involved in Agriculture with others in their own state and across the country to
promote Agriculture Literacy. The project connects individuals by utilizing the traditional
postal service and social media, and emphasizes the importance that agriculture plays in
everyday lives through a survey (with answers that anybody can access) and community
service projects that involve agriculture in their area. We have been very successful
with this project, recently reaching 1100 followers on Instagram as well as reaching to
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, and are launching a Collegiate FFA portion.
