Boswell Foundation Gift Helps Hundreds of FFA
Members Attend State Conference
T
hrough the generous support of the
James G. Boswell Foundation, nearly
6,000 FFA members had the opportunity to
attend the 87th Annual California FFA State
Leadership Conference. Held April 18-21
in Fresno, this year’s conference saw record
attendance of 5,958 FFA members from
across California. “With the help of the
James G. Boswell Foundation, the California
FFA Foundation was able to increase access
to FFA leadership programs, and making the
state conference more affordable plays a huge
role in maximizing the kind of experiences
that change student’s lives,” commented Louie
Brown, Chair of the FFA Foundation. “We
deeply appreciate the support of the James G.
Boswell Foundation in providing a scholarship
for every FFA member to attend conference.
This event makes a powerful impact on those
who attend, and this scholarship program is a
tremendous catalyst for increasing the number
of young people interested in leading our
industry in the future.”

ver the course of four days, members
attended five general sessions hearing
from keynote speakers, visiting National
Officers, and the California FFA State Officer
Team. Students were recognized for their
accomplishments in the areas of proficiencies,
career development events, and scholarships.
