the rocks, ensuring you
get all sides. Don’t worry
about the underneath.

turn over and spray on
black around the edges.
Let dry. Roll out fondant/
gumpaste mix and
cut out a 6 inch heart
shaped lily pad. Using a dresden tool,
create lines for the vines

Cut around edge with a

lay rolled pieces of
paper towel or tissue
underneath the lily pad
and allow it to semi dry. Tape off the stencil to
leave you with the koi
fish you want to create. Roll out fondant
gumpaste mix to fit
stencil. Airbrush gold and
carefully remove stencil.

Attach cut out to cake
with water or piping gel. Airbrush outer edge
of the lily pad lemon

Focus on darkening
the edges and letting
the spray fall naturally
on the inner leaf. Spray
underneath the raised
sections. Darken the centre of
the leaf and airbrush
the lines of the leaf that
were created earlier. Attach lily pad on top
with water or piping gel. Paint sections of the koi
fish orange.
Airbrush over with leaf
green.
