Step 17:
Take 30g of the prepared marzipan and roll
on the palm of your hands. If it comes out
sticky, you can rub your hands with a little
shortening to prevent from sticking on your
skin. As you roll, slowly bring it to a teardrop
shape.
Step 19:
Take a clove stem, dip the rounded top in
corn syrup and stick it on the marked top
of the marzipan pear. You can brush the
marzipan with petal dust in shades of yellow,
light green and red, or pearl dust diluted in
little vodka to make it more festive.
Step 18:
Smooth the pointy tip and make it bit
rounded. With the tip of a dresden or
dogbone tool, put a light hole on the top.
Step 20:
Place cake on a decorative cake stand and
arrange leaves, berries and marzipan pears
around the cake candle. Insert tealight on
the hole and light it up.
