Eat Sweet Handmade Cakes
Hi! My name is Alexis Schnitger and my little biz, Eat Sweet Handmade Cakes,
is based in Ballina on the beautiful far north coast of NSW.
My passion for baking and sharing my creations began as a child and has
evolved over time, becoming such an enjoyable part of my life. What started
as a hobby has now become a business, and I am very fortunate to have
loyal following and wonderful customers who put so much faith in my ability to
create spectacular centrepieces for their events.
For as long as I can remember I have had a love for all things creative and
through many years of studying the arts I have worked with many different
mediums, but nothing came close to working with sugar to create completely
edible works of art. I passionately believe in the handcrafted approach to cake
design and creation, meaning every figurine is handmade with care. I am just
as passionate about what goes into my cakes.
Wonderful flavour and quality on the inside are just as important as the wow factor
on the outside.
From elegant wedding cakes to fun (and sometimes huge!) novelty celebration
cakes, my creations are always designed specifically for each client making them
unique and memorable.
While I absolutely love creating these works of art, my greatest joy and
satisfaction comes from seeing my client’s reactions when their requests have
come to life. I feel very lucky to be living my dream job every day.
