Step 5:
Repeat for all three
square boards. You may
need a craft knife to
neaten up the centres.
Step 6:
Mark your drill hole on
the 12 inch cake board
by using the pre-drilled
5 inch cake board as a
guide. Place approx 3 ½
inch from the front and
2 ¼ inch from the left.
Step 9:
Hot glue your 10 inch board and attach to the bottom
of your 12 inch cake board.
Step 7:
Drill all the way through
using 13 inch drill bit.
Step 8:
Test your dowel to make
sure it fits in the boards.

Make sure dowel is level
Fill pre-drilled hole with
hot glue and insert dowel.
Clean up any glue that
may squeeze out the side.
Be aware that glue can be
very hot.
Cake Construction
Step 12:
Gather your supplies for
constructing the cake.
Step 13:
Use ganache to secure 5 inch board.
Step 14:
Wrap dowel with floral
tape and tightly wrapped
cling film.
