Tying the knot isn’t complete without a special cake and no one knows this better than founder of London’s The Cake Parlour, Zoe Clark. She is busy in her boutique store throughout the year designing and creating exquisite wedding cakes for lucky couples. Tell us a little bit about yourself and how long you have been in the industry? I’ve been making cakes now for about 8 years. I started off as a pastry chef but as soon as I had chance to combine sweet things with my childhood passion of art and crafts, I immediately went into cake decoration and was lucky enough to find a great job which is where I learnt all my basic cake making skills. I set up my own business from home about 6 years ago and 3 years later I moved into a shop where I am today, making mainly wedding cakes and teaching classes in the quieter periods.
