Step 7: Step 2: Step 1: Outline the Basket with dark brown piping consistency royal icing. Step 6: Fill in main section of the basket with flood consistency light brown icing. Pop any air bubbles that rise to the surface with a toothpick. Allow to set for a few minutes, and then fill in the bottom section of the basket. Let dry completely (6-8 hours or overnight). Using a light coloured food colour pen, sketch the placement of flowers in the basket. Fill in the largest flowers in the colours of your choice in a thick consistency icing, adding the centres while the icing is still wet. Let dry for 30 minutes. Step 9: Pipe the ivy leaves in light green and add small filler flowers where you feel there are any gaps. Pipe a bead border in dark brown for the basket handle then pipe the bow. Allow to dry for 60 minutes then lightly brush the ivy leaves with the green petal dust. Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: Step 8: Using dark brown piping icing, pipe a brick pattern on the basket. Pipe dark brown dots in vertical lines on the bottom section of the basket. Using pale yellow royal icing thinned with water, roughly paint the open section of the basket – this will give a nice opaque background. Pipe the light green stems and leaves then add the darker green leaves using a small leaf tip. f www www.facebook.com/FlyawayPineapple www.flyawaypineapple.com.au
