Outline the Basket with dark brown
piping consistency royal icing.
Step 6:
Fill in main section of the basket with flood consistency light brown icing.
Pop any air bubbles that rise to the surface with a toothpick.
Allow to set for a few minutes, and then fill in the bottom section of the
basket. Let dry completely (6-8 hours or overnight).
Using a light coloured food
colour pen, sketch the
placement of flowers in the
basket.
Fill in the largest flowers in the
colours of your choice in a thick
consistency icing, adding the
centres while the icing is still
wet. Let dry for 30 minutes.
Step 9:
Pipe the ivy leaves in light green and
add small filler flowers where you feel
there are any gaps. Pipe a bead border
in dark brown for the basket handle
then pipe the bow. Allow to dry for 60
minutes then lightly brush the ivy leaves
with the green petal dust.

Using dark brown piping icing,
pipe a brick pattern on the basket.
Pipe dark brown dots in vertical
lines on the bottom section of the
basket.
Using pale yellow royal icing
thinned with water, roughly paint
the open section of the basket
– this will give a nice opaque
background.
Pipe the light green stems and leaves then add the darker green
leaves using a small leaf tip.
