Step 6:
Using a glue gun pop glue into the drill hole and insert
your centre dowel
Use two Clear Cake Scrapers (on the flat end) to
ensure your centre dowel is straight
Leave to dry
Step 7:
To prepare you mushroom base we use a styro cone
Cut off the tip of the cone. Smooth cut edge with sandpaper
Using a thin pole push a hole straight down the centre of the cone
Step 8:
I then turn the cone
upside down in the centre
dowel as a support to hold
the cone while covering
Step 9:
Coat your styro in piping gel
Roll out your fondant and wrap it around the cone
Trim and polish your cone with a flexible smoother
Step 10:
Gently take your cone off your centre dowel and place the right way up. Start
cutting out your details for the door and windows. I cut the door freehand and
used a round cutter for the windows. Use your finger and rub around the shape to
round off the edges
