Cactus & Cowgirls
OctOber 30–NOvember 7, 2020
Get to know the beauty ,
history
and mystery of Arizona. You and a
small group of like-minded women will
explore some of America’s most iconic
locations. Enjoy local excursions, jeep
adventures and memorable hikes; stop
on Route 66; ogle the Grand Canyon;
take a trail ride; and have dinner in a
ghost town.
The nine-day trip, offered through
Women Xplorers by WestWorld Tours,
starts with a drive through towering
red rocks from Phoenix to Sedona.
Along the way, stop at Montezuma
Castle, a five-storey “apartment” that
was built into the side of a cliff more

than 600 years ago by the Sinagua
people, a pre-Columbian culture.
Based in Sedona over the next few
days, venture through red rocks, desert
and canyons by foot, jeep and on horse-
back (with time to slip in a spa or two).
At Monument Valley, a Navajo guide
will share the culture and history of
the Navajo people and explain why the
region is considered the heart of the
earth. You’ll delve deep into the valley
to feel its mystical power. The power
of Hollywood is also present at Forrest
Gump Point, the spot where the movie
hero stopped running and ended his
epic cross-country journey.
Pose for a group selfie during sunset
at the Grand Canyon—one of the
Seven Natural Wonders of the World—
explore the trails or hop on a shuttle
to other breathtaking viewpoints.
You and your new pals will also
route 66
spend a night in quaint little
towns, such as Page, where you’ll
be mesmerized by a slot canyon—a
magical place that feels more like
Mars than the middle of America.
You could also bunk in Williams,
under the Ponderosa Pines on
historic Route 66.
When you hitch a ride on this
Cactus & Cowgirls tour, everything
is taken care of. All you have to do is
say giddy-up.
