Chair’s message
A Century of Service
celebration is in full swing!
2017 is our special year to recognize and thank our
valued CAA Saskatchewan Members. And what better
way to thank you, our dedicated Members, than by
inviting you to join us at monthly CAA Store Parties—
there’s a party happening every month till December.
While some events have already taken place,
you can still attend one of the remaining
parties, which are happening until December
at our CAA Stores and CAA Car Care Centre
at Regina Battery Depot. When visiting CAA
Stores, be sure to enter your name for some
great prizes.
Speaking of prizes, don’t forget the
$100,000 Member Prize. Every CAA
Saskatchewan Primary Member (active
as of December 15, 2017) is automatically
entered into the prize draw—proving that
membership is always rewarding! Make sure your
membership is up to date, and check your 2017 renewal
date. Visit caask.ca/100 for more details.
The province is also recognizing our centenary year:
The Honourable Jeremy Harrison, Saskatchewan’s
Minister of the Economy, has proclaimed the week of
June 18 to 24 as “CAA Saskatchewan Week: Celebrating
100 Years.” His proclamation reads as follows:
“I, Jeremy Harrison, Minister of the Economy in the
Province of Saskatchewan in exercise of the powers
conferred upon me, do hereby designate the week of June
18–24, 2017 to be CAA Saskatchewan Week: Celebrating
100 Years in Saskatchewan. And I request the citizens of
the Province of Saskatchewan to recognize this week.”

Minister Harrison also said, “I wish to congratulate
CAA Saskatchewan on 100 years of advocating for their
Members and building strong, successful businesses
across our province and wish them an even brighter
future for the next 100 years.”
As a member-driven association, CAA Saskatchewan
values our strong membership and proudly
supports Saskatchewan communities. We’ll
continue to provide top professional service,
while focusing on Member and client needs.
We appreciate Member stories from the
past century, as they remind us how our
motor club started. To learn more about the
history of CAA Saskatchewan, read Dale
Johnson’s article “The Road Ahead” on page
29. And if you have a favourite memory of
CAA Saskatchewan, please share it with us
at [email protected]. Your story could
be featured in our winter issue.
It’s clear that cars were much different a century
ago. But what has remained consistent is the need for
a Canadian automobile association that provides superb
roadside assistance—plus insurance, automotive and
travel services to help keep you and your family safe
and secure.
