entertain—and protect—
a Winnipeg family

One Of CarOlyn eva MeadOws’ bestloved childhood memories was going
with her grandmother to Rainbow
Stage in Winnipeg. “That was my only
theatre experience growing up,” says
Meadows. “I remember loving it—the
whole event, not just the performance.
We’d visit Kildonan Park and go for a
nice dinner before the show.”
When her daughter, Emily, displayed
a flair for the arts, even appearing in a
Rainbow Stage production, Meadows’
family became regular patrons of local
theatres. “Even my 75-year-old mother
still loves to go,” she says.

As their love of theatre has grown,
so too has their ticket budget—until
Meadows discovered CAA member

based on discounts,” she says. She and
her husband recently visited Enigma
Escapes, a puzzle game where participants search a locked room for clues
that will help them “escape.” “It was so
much fun, but I don’t think we would
have tried it without the CAA offer.”
CAA discounts aren’t all fun and
games though. Last winter, the family found themselves dealing with
a home break-in. After that event,
they revamped their old alarm system, which hadn’t been working at
the time. Meadows’ CAA membership

we were doing anyway,” she says.
