High-Tech Hunt For a techno twist on the traditional Easter activity , try a GPS egg hunt . The “ bunnies ” at Oak Hammock Marsh hide eggs throughout marsh grounds for kids and parents to find using only satellite coordinates and a GPS device . Think of it as one part scavenger hunt , one part science lesson and two parts Easter fun . Eager eggers can also take part in a traditional egg hunt on Easter Sunday . In “ Plane ” View At the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada , kids make their own paper Easter baskets and fill them with eggs hidden throughout the indoor aircraft hangar . While you ’ re there , check out some of the models in the Canadian Innovation exhibit , including the UFO-like Avro Avrocar and the Black Brant Sounding Rocket , developed during the Cold War .
