5. A: COI is valid for one year for most
types of vehicles and confirms the
inspected vehicle meets the standards
within the Vehicle Inspection Handbook.
6. B: Someone else can make the
payment for you provided they have
a signed authorization form from
you. Call a CAA Manitoba Insurance
Autopac agent for a copy of the form.
7. C: The refund amount is based on
the unused portion of the driver’s
licence premium. If the holder of the
driver’s licence has died, you must have
a photocopy of the death certificate or
obituary notice, and a signed refund
request from an immediate family
member or estate executor.
8. A: If you don’t cancel, coverage
continues until it’s suspended for non-
payment. You could then be respon-
sible for late fees or other costs. You
could also lose privileges if you are on
the quarterly payment plan.
