WHAT STARTED AS AN 18th-birthday
gift from a concerned father has
turned into a lifetime of savings for
Sarah Low Ying. While her dad gave
her a CAA membership mostly for the
roadside assistance, some 30 years
later Low Ying’s CAA card is her go-to
for discounts on everything from
entertainment to travel.
She first realized there was more to
membership than fixing flats or boost-
ing batteries when she was researching
a trip to Minneapolis. “I saw a CAA
email with great coupons for the Mall
of America,” she says, adding that she
got help with planning from CAA,
inclu
