Many people are now accepting anxiety as a normal part of our everyday living. There is still a stigma to saying that you are suffering from stress/anxiety in the workplace, always with the fear that, if you do speak out, you will jeopardise your job or any chance of promotion. There are real things that you can do to make a change; treat anxiety like any other illness, speak to HR at work, see your GP and don’t try to cover it up! In this issue we talk to some of the professionals that look after many employees that suffer from stress and anxiety. BWS magazine was a concept 6 years ago and now we are delighted to say that, from the humble beginnings, the magazine has grown from strength to strength thanks to our loyal readership and clients. We believed it was now the correct time to launch our first BWS business awards at the end of October in Glasgow. We had some great entries from all over Scotland and our judges were inspired by the diverse range of businesses that entered. We would like to thank you for making the first awards ceremony a great night of rewards and entertainment! Christmas is fast approaching.
