Coopers Field in Cardiff will be Thai-d up at the start of August, as the
Wales Thai Festival takes place. The festival aims to celebrate all the colour
and flavour of Thai culture with a weekend full of aromatic food, exciting
entertainment and insightful activities. The bright and beautiful traditional
costumes of Thailand will be shown in all their glory during a parade, there
will be a demonstration of “the art of eight limbs” Muay Thai Boxing and
someone will even Thai the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony. If that is
all a bit much you can also indulge and book yourself in for a Thai massage.
Thailand is a country famous for its food and it won’t be forgotten at the
festival. There will be plenty of stalls cooking up freshly cooked dishes, and
a beer garden sponsored by Singha Beer.
