Editor's Message

We're here people! The Butterflies have landed, bringing you your first edition of Butterfly Africa. They'll be taking off soon though, but not before you have read, watched, and seen what they have to say. Butterfly Africa is a global magazine for African youth. We capture the change being made by young Africans all over the continent and diaspora and we share it with our readers. We want to inspire young Africans to make their own contribution and advance this continent. We recognise that “small actions”, like the flapping of a butterfly’s wings, can create seismic change. Butterfly Africa aims to remind the world that great change can come from small, intentional and sustained actions.

Since embarking on the Butterfly journey, we have met some truly inspiring people and organisations – all determined to cause that seismic change across this continent and the world! We want to thank all of our contributors, sponsors, affiliates and partners whose help made this day possible. And most of all, we want to thank you, our readers, who empower us to keep going!

We have used the latest technology in order to allow you to fully interact with this magazine – you can watch the videos included, rate articles and send us feedback all from within the magazine.

Butterfly Africa isn't "just" a magazine, however. We aim to be a global trendsetter. Stay tuned as we keep you informed on our twitter, facebook, wordpress and google+ pages! Look out for the “We’re live” trend where we’ll be taking Butterfly Africa to the next level of digital interactivity featuring the contributions of Africa’s youth. So, sit back, enjoy, and lose yourself in the world of Butterfly Africa. We can’t wait to feature you very soon.
