In post-recession Britain, we have seen a

Colin Holmes recently took up the post
of BAMA business adviser. Colin has a 40
year career in industry and manufacturing
holding senior positions in small and large
manufacturing organisations. As a qualified
design engineer with first hand product
design and manufacturing experience, Colin
also holds a five star diploma in business
support and is a trained BSI ISO9000
auditor amongst many other accolades.
The Bradford and Airedale Manufacturing
Alliance (BAMA) exists to help
manufacturers work together for mutual
benefit. A key aim is to form an association
between manufacturers, local businesses
and the wider community.
BAMA is now working alongside Bradford
Council to provide a dedicated business
support adviser who will work with BAMA
members to ensure they are fully aware of,
and connected to, available grants, training,
funding, supply chain opportunities and
business support.

The Company’s customer base extends
to many industries including railways,
transportation, the National Grid,
engineering and water.
The business is keen to develop its teams
and help them learn new skills. Lynn
Cooper, pictured, has been with the
company for six years and has previous
engineering experience. In January last
year the business commissioned two new
CNC machining centres and Lynn decided
to ask for a transfer from the Press shop.
She is now one of their CNC machine
operators and enjoying every minute of
the move.
